About me...

Current Fave Tech List

I've filtered down my selection to tech used in my homelab or personal servers.

I had for many years (at least 10 years), been using ovirt, but the last backer (RedHat) withdrew from the project to focus on OpenShift. I look forward to seeing what becomes of LXD from Canonical, but for now I've switched to Proxmox which has been a great experience so far.

Home Automation

I've spent a fair amount of time making (what I think are cool) home automations, I'll be sharing more articles on this topic.

One of my favourite home automation projects is my garden lights, utilising a cheap 120W solar panel slapped on top of the shed to charge during the day. It can gather around 200-300 Wh per day to power various lights, and run a pi and a couple of micro-controller.

Website Origin

I started this website back in 2006 as a test space for web dev. This grew into a portfolio website whilst i ran a freelance webdesign company in Brighton. I now use my web server as my hub for any tech I love or want to comment on or want to share.
